When I created my fall 2020 fashion trends post earlier this month, I purposefully left out the most important one of them all...face masks! As Covid 19 cases continue to rise, it is vital that we all do our part and wear a face mask out in public. Instead of wearing plain boring masks, why not wear pretty ones instead? Why not make it fun and turn them into a fashion statement? Since quarantine, many people and brands have gotten creative when it comes to designing masks. These days they are in a bunch of different colors, fabrics, styles and patterns to choose from to show off your personal style or match your outfit. Today I gathered some of my favorites that represent my feminine personal style from places such as brands and small businesses to support. Warning, most of them are in floral prints...oops.

*None of these are medical grade*

  1. Reformation-Not only does this mask come in a sweet rose pattern, Reformation has made a pledge that every time a mask is bought from the website, they will donate one to Center for Farmworker Families (they respond to wildfires).

  2. PerditaStudio-This Etsy shop creates and sells adorable shabby chic masks like this one. If blue is not your thing, they have a ton of different options to choose from!

  3. FloralBanditStudio-From another Etsy shop, this one is probably one of my absolute favorites. The vintage floral pattern with the neutral background would go perfectly with most of my wardrobe.

  4. PIDGEJewelry-I was in awe when I discovered this face mask on Etsy. From the pastel yellow embroidery anglaise to the bow tied straps, I fell head over over heels how darling this mask is.

  5. Slip-Why not go the luxurious route and wear a mulberry silk face mask? It is great for you skin and is really cute with the lips embroidery.

  6. House of CB-House of CB came out with these precious face masks that you can buy either in a set of 3 or individually. Speaking of House of CB, have you seen their summer collection and latest fall collection?! Their pieces are stunning, I should make a blog post about them.

  7. ChiffonFleur- A lovely girl who I follow on instagram has an online shop where she sells her designs on various products, including face masks! This Serpent and Rose one is really cool, she has a variety of different ones as well.

  8. Cotton On-To take a (small) break on the floral, here is a nice gingham one in lilac.

  9. LoveShackFancy-Of course I couldn't forget to include LSF. I own two myself. They had face masks made from leftover fabric in a variety of colors and patterns, including this one in Morning Mist.

What are some of your favorite face masks in your current collection? Don't forget it is imperative to wear your face mask. Please stay safe and healthy XOXO

Fall is my second favorite season, right after spring. Similar to spring, it is a transitional time of the year when the weather is not too hot or too cold. I get very excited when September comes around because we start to transition from hot to more cooler, comfortable temperatures. My attitude also starts to shifts by wanting to pull out my cozy sweaters, wear knee high suede riding boots, crave delicious hot chocolate and watch the surrounding tree's leaves turn into rich colors in warm tones. As much as I enjoy the gorgeous sunshine, I also enjoy the more moody, crisp atmosphere. It gives me the excuse to cuddle in my blankets just a bit longer.

With this type of weather coming up, it is time to accommodate our wardrobe so we know what to wear. There are classic fall fashion trends that will never go out of style such as jewel tones, boots, cozy knitwear and the timeless trench coat. I did some research by looking through the F/W 2020 fashion shows earlier this year for inspiration and gathered information from the notable fashion forecasting website (my favorite), WGSN, to see what will be this season's trends.

Here are my personal top five to add to your feminine wardrobe:

Givenchy Brock Collection Tory Burch Rodarte Markarian

  1. Long Cozy Cardigans-It is no surprise we want to pull out our knitwear when temperatures start to drop. Givenchy's F/W 2020 collection showed us that a longer silhouette in a neutral color are what to look for in cardigans. It adds to the versatility and comfort element that is needed, since many people are working/attending school at home.

  2. Fall Florals-Just because it is not spring or summer anymore doesn't mean we have to stop wearing pretty florals. They can transition into dark romantic florals on ethereal dresses, which is beautifully executed from Brock Collection.

  3. Shearling Coats-Shearling outerwear have been spotted from several different catwalks, including Tory Burch. Shearling is snuggly and adds extra warmth on those blistering cold days.

  4. Oversized Peter Pan Collars-As seen on Rodarte's outfits (their fall 2020 collection is gorgeous!), oversized collars are a delicate detail that will be in this season. Ruffle collars like these will be showcased on several different types of clothing such as sweaters, blouses and dresses. Fun fact: This trend is inspired by none other than Supreme Court justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

  5. Glitz and Glamour-The year of 2020 could really use a hint of glitz and glamour. No matter if it's subtle glamour like a sparkly pair of earrings or something over the top like a sequin ballgown, we could all add some glitz to our lives. Markarian's pink dress with the shimmering rhinestones is to die for, I'd wear it to run errands I don't care.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you are well aware of how many times I posted pictures of myself wearing pretty outfits and strolling through my favorite rose garden called, Park of Roses. Since the start lockdown, Park of Roses have been my dream escape from all the horrible things that have been going on in the world. It feels like a magical place where everything feels peaceful and serene. Every time I visit, it greatly lifts up my spirits seeing all the gorgeous types of roses in various colors, people walking their adorable dogs and hearing the tranquil sounds of the waterfall. I like to imagine that I am frolicking in the English country side or Provence, France. Not only is it a great spot to take pictures, it is also the perfect romantic spot for wedding proposals. My cousin Lindsey was proposed in this very same garden on her three year anniversary to her boyfriend now fiancé a couple years ago.

A couple weeks before moving back for school, I went back to the rose garden for one last time for the summer. It is somewhat bittersweet knowing that the next I go back home, all the stunning roses will be gone and won't bloom again until next spring. I silently said my goodbyes, strolled through my favorite spots and took some nice pictures. We decided to go in the evening, so we were able to capture some lovely shots in the sunset. It was a beautiful setting to end my rose garden visits. Below are some of my favorite pictures I wanted to share and save for lasting memories.

Until next time... XOXO
