Since the year of 2020 has been a rollercoaster of emotions, a lot of people have decided to put up their Christmas decorations up earlier this season to brighten up the mood. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, so I was happy to see everybody prepping for it. Seeing all the festive content on Instagram and YouTube got me in the cheery mood to decorate my Christmas tree early this year too! For my personal tree in the bedroom, I was heavily inspired by LoveShackFancy's new Madison Ave store opening in New York City this week and Lace & Lashes' Christmas tree 2020 decorating video.
I was in awe of LSF's store window display alone that featured a Christmas tree decorated with sparkly baubles, ballet slippers and of course a giant pink bow placed right on top with an adorable pink toy train circling the bottom of the tree. It was very whimsical and darling as they paid homage to The Nutcracker as their holiday theme this year. Their beautiful facade was layered with garland adorned with pink roses, velvet bows and more baubles!

Immediately wanted to pull my Christmas tree out when I watched Laces & Lashes' YouTube video decorating her tree. I adore her idea of taking some pretty ribbon and wrapping it around the tree along with the gorgeous ornaments. Her tree is also flocked, which gives off the winter wonderland aesthetic.

Supplies: A Christmas tree (mine is a little shorter than the average tree and is metallic!), an assortment of pretty ornaments (snowflake ornaments, ballet slipper ornament, Eiffel Tower ornament), ribbon to make the bows, white fake roses and cute decorative boxes that look like gifts to put underneath the tree (optional). Bonus: The idea of having a toy train go around the tree is so adorable! It reminds me of what you see in classic Christmas movies. Unfortunately, I don't have one...yet.

I have to say I am proud of how my tree turned out! It looks so beautiful all decorated with the baubles (which includes snowflakes, a ballet slipper ornament and an Eiffel Tower ornament) bows, pink ribbon wrapped around the tree and gift boxes at the bottom of it. If only I had a remote control train, but I digress. It was fun yet therapeutic for me decorate this tree considering it has been a stressful year. Looking at my holiday corner in my room makes me smile for something so gorgeous and magical to look at!
What theme and decorating ideas are you using for your Christmas tree? XOXO
