It has been very chilly lately, so I opted for a cozy blush pink sweater with my favorite white pleated midi skirt. Although it is not noticeable, I did wear black leggings underneath the skirt so I would not freeze. These affordable faux suede cognac boots went perfectly with this Gucci-inspired belt. I adore the little pearls encrusted on the"CC's". It elevates the look without making it over-the-top.

I also wanted to include outerwear since it is essential for the winter season. Here I am wearing an oversized dusty rose trench. It is thick enough to keep me warm in cold temperatures. Before I head out, I slipped on my new white pearl scarf that I received for Christmas. It is extremely soft and love how it adds a girly touch!

Before heading out to class, I wanted to add a few finishing touches with some accessories. Personally, I find pearls to be a classic staple to a feminine wardrobe. To complete my pearl themed accessories, I added this pretty pearl headband. For the past year, headbands and pearls have been trending and I will continue to incorporate these pieces into my outfits. Never will I grow tired of them. The rose gold crystal bracelet goes perfectly well with my rose gold tear drop ring. This has to be one of my favorite bracelets. Not only does it add a hint of sparkle to any look, but it is also adjustable with the toggles. I am also obsessed with this ring since 2018. The design would be absolutely exquisite for a wedding ring.

This gold necklace set was added to create interest to the plain sweater. I really like how the gold looked against the blush pink color. It is also very versatile. It is meant to be worn together, but it can also be worn separately. The crystallized star pendent adds charm to the matching crystallized link chain necklace. Lately I have been really into star and moon jewelry. Definitely will be adding more pieces like these to my jewelry collection.

Even though January 2020 is almost over, I want to share my vision board I created and discuss personal goals for 2020 for my first blog post. All I can say is better late than never! Inspired by seeing vision boards on social media and my own mother, I decided to create one to kick off the new decade.

Here is an overview of my vision board. Starting from the top left corner, the picture of the inside view of a pink car with the outside view of the Eiffel Tower represents my goal to start driving this year. A embarrassing fact about me is that I do not have my drivers license, even though I am 22 years old. I know, I know. I'll get around to it eventually. The picture beside it is a post I found on Pinterest (click Jillian Taylor if you want to follow!) about how to start blogging. Inspired by a couple of my favorite girly fashion bloggers, Gal Meets Glam and Fashion Mumblr, It made me want to create a blog too. Especially since there is not a lot of black fashion bloggers that have the same particular style that I like unfortunately. Hopefully creating this blog will inspire other black women who also have a feminine chic style.

The second to last picture is a beautiful beach landscape with white sand and a pretty blue ocean. Before winter break started, me and a couple of my close friends discussed about going on a trip together for our fall break 2020. We traveled to NYC during the spring time back in 2018 through a fashion group at school. We had an absolute ball together and want to travel again before a certain *someone* will graduate by the the end of this year. Staying close to a beach in Florida was the popular decision amongst our group. The last one on the very right is a quote that says, "Stress doesn't go with my outfit." It simply doesn't. I need to learn to not to stress myself out too much.

The picture of the black girl in her graduation outfit represents my desire to graduate college by December 2020. I almost have enough credits to graduate a semester early, I just need to take some more required classes and complete an internship for summer 2020. Pictures of brands such as Ralph Lauren, Kendra Scott, LoveShackFancy (obsessed with them!) and Tory Burch are just some of the ones that I have applied for or planning to apply for my summer 2020 fashion internship requirement. Tapestry is another one that I applied for, which is on the other side of the board. Even though there is only some brands on the board, there is a lot more that I would love to intern for! Even though the picture of a beautiful bouquet of pink roses on the bottom left is insignificant compared to my other goals, I thought it would be sweet to have a bouquet for my graduation. I know it's silly. It would be lovely to receive my favorite flowers on a special occasion. Between the other pictures previously mentioned are two more quotes. One of them says, "Stay Focused And Extra Sparkly." Pretty self-explanatory. The other one says,"Nevertheless. She Persisted." It is pretty simple, but the quote has a deeper meaning to me. Long story short, I was described as being "persistent" when I was in elementary school by my teacher. That word has stuck with me since then.

I promise I'm almost done! The picture on the top right of a women typing on her aesthetically pleasing desk broadly represents my goal to land an internship/career in fashion merchandising. Last but not least is the picture of a gorgeous bedroom from Pinterest. Last summer, my family moved from our house of 17 years to an apartment because they wanted to downgrade. My room is currently not the way I want it to be and it is taking me awhile to decorate it since I have been away for school. So far, I did get a pretty pink velvet headboard for the bed. However, there is more decorating that needs to be done. With the help of Pinterest and Youtube videos, I am on the track of turning my room into a luxury glam suite.

That was a long post! If you read all the way through, then thank you :). What are your goals for 2020?
